At Saigu, sustainability is one of our top priorities, and the most innovative concept in the world of sustainability is upcycling. This term combines the words "upgrade” and "recycling”. It’s a levelled-up version of recycling. Instead of destroying a waste product to create something new, we look for creative ways of making use of it.
For example, something that might be seen as waste in the farming and food industries can be put to use by the cosmetics industry, making the most of its magnificent qualities. Because although we might not be able to eat them, they’re the answer to our skin’s prayers.
This is what we’ve tried to do with the raw materials that make up our products, specifically with one ingredient known asPomarange.
It’s a regenerative cosmetic ingredient created from what’s left over after apples have been used to make cider. Numerous studies have been done on this product, guaranteeing its efficacy, and allowing us to move further towards a concept of circular beauty.

Extract of apples from Girona
A hydrating, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory ingredient obtained from the by-products of apple processing in the food industry. The waste is put to excellent use in cooperation with a local apple grower.
Extract of custard apple from Granada and Malaga
Thanks to its high content of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals, this is perfect for softening dry, dull and ageing skin.
Extract of oranges from Valencia
Rich in vitamins A and C, carotenes, organic acids, flavonoids, carbohydrates and pectins, providing antioxidant, soothing and moisturising properties. Perfect for atonic, ageing, sensitive, irritated skin, with problems with redness or broken capillaries (rosacea, caparrosa, telangiectasias).
How to use Brisa
Use this cleansing gel for both your morning and bedtime routines. Great as the second step in a double cleansing routine, or used on its own.
STEP 1
Squirt a little Brisa onto wet hands and softly massage into damp skin, until a gentle foam forms.
STEP 2
Rinse with tepid water until all traces of the product have disappeared.
STEP 3
Dry your skin with a soft towel, dabbing softly. Voilá! You’re ready to carry on with the rest of your skincare routine.

Does it remove waterproof makeup?
This cleansing gel isn’t designed for removing makeup. Makeup is usually oil-based, and to remove it you need another kind of product like Calma.
What’s the difference between this cleansing gel and the makeup remover oil, Calma?
Both cleanse the skin deeply, but each one acts differently and plays its own role in a double cleansing routine. The makeup remover oil Calma removes any traces of makeup, excess sebum and cosmetics like sun cream. The cleansing gel deals with dirt, impurities, pollution and dead cells.
Can I use Brisa as my only facial cleanser?
If you don’t wear makeup, yes. This gel is designed to remove dead cells and impurities
I have very dry skin. Is this gel suitable for me?
Yes! We’ve used super gentle surfactants that don’t impact the skin barrier, and won’t leave you with that tight feeling. The foam it creates is very gentle, and when you wash it away your skin will be left supple and hydrated.
