Our story — from Menorca to the world

Saigu was born in Menorca and, like the stories we love most, it started with a friendship: the one between Gerard Prats and David Hart. A chemist specialized in dermopharmacy and cosmetics, and a digital marketing expert who have known each other since their teenage years.

They’re united by a deep love for their island and the Mediterranean and, since 2019, by the idea of creating a makeup brand that’s practical, effective, and honest—one that cares for your skin and the planet. Choosing a name took us a bit longer, but we chose Saigu, which comes from “s’aigua” and means “water” in Menorcan, because that’s how we see ourselves: natural, transparent, and always in motion.
